Shajar means tree and nasaab means roots/descent . It all starts from a place called Zebok or Zibak, it is the capital of Zebak district in the Badakhshan province of Afghanistan it lies at the foot of Daliz pass that connects it to Tajikistan. its inhabitants are Ismaili and they speak the sangelchi-ishkashmi language. Mamu harag traveled from Zebak to baltit in Hunza, Pakistan . he had two sons khamal and khurk out of two, khamal passed away quite soon, and he had no children to carry on his legacy or in short “en-e bel nimi” in Burushaski.

This family tree of Khurukux lies here in northern Pakistan whose roots are still intact and going on. Khurk carried on the family heritage and had two son’s Gordan and Soman. Gordan’s roots still exist in Baltit. Soman had two sons Pune Zapooh and Tok-e-zapooh. Tok-e-zapooh’s roots exist in Aliabad, baltit and Sultanabad meanwhile Pune Zapooh had two sons, in the present-day, they exist as a clan called Zapookux here in Hunza. his two sons were Abdullah shah and Mubarak shah. Mubarak shah’s roots exist in Aliabad and Sultanabad while Abdullah shah had two sons Dom and Dumino. Dom’s roots are known as (Chumarshin) and now exist in baltit.

Dumino had two sons Abdullah and Hashim shah. Abdullah used to be a Sardar at the residence and was well known as Sardar Nazar, out of his children their roots exist in Gilgit at the present day. Hashim shah’s roots were in Aliabad he had further 3 sons, Aman, Amin, and Zameer. Aman’s roots are in aliabad and still going on. Zameer’s roots are in sultanabad his sons are Nissar / merap. while Amin’s roots were known as shamainokux or aminkux. originally they were supposed to be called aminkux but it was mispronounced so they were known as shamainokux as well. he had 3 sons Gulbaig , Sapar Ali, and Huzur baig. Sapar ali had two sons Kalo known as dado Kalo and baig . Baig had two sons Abdullah and Murad baig. abdullah Baig’s roots exist in Aliabad in the present day and Murad Baig’s son Ibrahim moved from baltit — aliabad to danyour.

While as Huzur baig the 3rd child of Amin had 4 sons Shaban, Talib khan, or known as Talim, Tahir shah, and Karim. Shaban moved away from his family, he had two son’s dawar shah and gul aman. tahir shah passed away soon, he had a son sabir in murtazabad. Karim’s roots exist in murtazabad he had a son fakeer. Talib khan or Talim had 8 sons around 1948/1946 he used to be a tailor and from his earnings, he bought land in danyour where he settled down. his 8 sons were, the eldest Momin Hayat, Raza Baig, Sherullah Baig, Gorharyat, Haji Baig, Didar baig, Ameer Hayat, and Sabir khan and in the present time, they are settled in danyour. this specific family tree or shajre nassab is related to the Khurukux family now settled in danyour, in shajre nassab daughters are not included and the details of the family left unmentioned exist in their respective areas in the present day.
